My name is Charles Pankow and I started Hostal de Sammy in Santiago with my best friend Sammy, an Australian Cattle Dog mix that I brought with me from the United States. Since opening of the hostel last year, I lost Sammy to cancer but his name and spirit lives on in the hostel. I like to say that staying at the hostel is much like staying at a friends house where you have a comfortable place in which you can rest after a long trip. The best part is that everything is included in the price with a great free breakfast, pool table, table football, at least 4 actually working computers with fast internet, and a living room with hundreds of movies to choose from. Sammy is your best friend in Chile.
Hostal de Sammy gets you to the snow with Ski Van. We can arrange pick-ups from the hostel to the slopes and Ski Van also rents all the equipment for skiers and snowboarders alike. Sammy helps you get you there!

Located downtown in the sector of Republica in Barrio Universitario, Sammy is a large house with lots of space. The hostel, just off the beaten path of downtown, offers it's guests a safe and comfortable environment from which they can organize their adventures of Santiago, Chile and South America.
